Northbridge General Hospital is a fictional hospital with 44 imaging systems across ten modalities, from MRI and CT to the cath lab and PET-CT. Clinical Engineering needs to know which equipment is reliable, whether planned maintenance is on schedule, and where to act first.
An equipment health score from 0 to 100 that combines uptime, hard down time, repair frequency and age, calculated per asset over a trailing 12 months.
A Period slicer that drives every page: KPIs for the selected month, six-month trends, and maintenance status (completed, overdue or upcoming) recalculated as of the period end.
Daily availability for every asset that reconciles: available hours equal scheduled hours minus planned maintenance, hard down and degraded time.

September 2026 was the worst month in almost three years for hard down time: 212 hours across 27 repairs, costing CAD$155,810 and 222 lost exams. Uptime still held at 98.3%.
21 of 44 assets score below 80. The three lowest are MRI-02 (22), FL-03 (28) and IR-01 (30). MRI-02 and IR-01 are hard down now, and MRI-02 and FL-03 are past their useful life.
CT-02 in Emergency had the most repairs in the last 12 months (21) and the most lost exams (241).

Build replacement cases for MRI-02 and FL-03 rather than continuing to fund repairs.
